Our projects

We will be conducting workshops to improve financial literacy among women and help women entrepreneurs.

 

1. We have worked with Aftertaste, a women led small scale business.​ AfterTaste is an initiative by a woman named Shalini Datta, who had the vision to use art to fight against inequality of opportunities in 2013. The women who are part of this organisation, make products by hand and sell these products to corporate organisations, academic institutions and personal buyers.

The question which we are trying to find the answer to is- how can we create a livelihood for the women,
which is permanent and dignified. An opportunity which will provide the women with flexible hours
for their domestic responsibilities as well as give them fair wages. Can we shift the mindset of the
women in the rural areas from living each day at a time to thinking about tomorrow? 

WoEmpower has helped them market their inventory as well as come up with kits to attract more customers. We came up with an Instagram plan for them and have designed creatives to help them promote their products.

 

2. Conducted web-series WoInspire, representing my city in the Action Campaign, ACT4SDGs, by the United Nations. Interviewed women entrepreneurs affected due to Covid-19, raising awareness of their plight .

4. We will be organising a fundraiser called Crocheted Daffodils led by our Student Ambassador, Bhuvee, soon. stay tuned!
