WoEmpower Welcomes You
WoEmpower is a social enterprise that aims to create economic empowerment in women through micro-entrepreneurship and by delivering training and employment opportunities for women. We aim to help women and girls whose aspirations have been lost amidst all the chaos and noise in their lives and make them feel independent as well as empowered.

The problem we are solving
WoEmpower is a social enterprise that aims to create economic empowerment in women through micro-entrepreneurship and by delivering training and employment opportunities for women. According to the World Bank, 79% of men as compared to only 27% of women are a part of the workforce in India. This places India 120th among 131 nations for women workforce participation. In entrepreneurship, women start businesses at the same rate as men in only 10 countries. Therefore, we want to help women and girls by providing them with skill training and the necessary exposure to become tomorrow's entrepreneurs.
We aim to help women and girls whose aspirations have been lost amidst all the chaos and noise in their lives and make them feel independent as well as empowered.

HELPING THE WOMEN OF AFTERTASTE
Have you ever felt that lingering aftertaste after eating one of your favourite foods? That is exactly what the women of AfterTaste want us to feel when we buy one of their products. The feeling or sensation that stays with us even after using something for decades.
The women who are part of this organisation, make products such as notebooks, masks and pouches, by hand and sell these products to corporate organisations, academic institutions and personal buyers.
We at WoEmpower have tried to help this social enterprise and all the women it comprises of as they have been adversely affected by the recent coronavirus pandemic.

Crocheted Daffodils
Fundraiser, 2021
Daffodils are a symbol of hope and new beginnings, they are the first flowers that we see during springtime signifying that winter is finally over. Crocheted Daffodils is a project which hopes to give new beginnings to women. We plan on doing this by selling handmade crocheted items and donating all proceeds to charities that help underprivileged women in India.

Currently studying in grade 12 , Sakshi the founder and Rashi the co-founder is really determined to work towards empowering women by providing them with the necessary skills and support. They is working with aftertaste to create kits and is reaching out to people who would like to buy the handcrafted products made by the women artisans of Aftertaste.
